Description

The Life-Size Contemporary Violinist and Seated Listener Bronze Sculpture stands at a commanding 200cm, presenting two elderly figures in an intimate shared moment: a standing man drawing a bow across a violin, leaning gently forward as he plays, while a seated woman beside him rests her chin on her hand, wholly absorbed in the sound.

Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished to Portrait Detail

Cast using the traditional lost-wax process, this life-size bronze sculpture achieves a level of naturalism that rewards close inspection. Every element has been resolved with meticulous care: fine wrinkles mapped across both faces, the tension of the violin bow captured mid-stroke, the relaxed weight of the seated figure rendered with full anatomical conviction. The surface carries a rich dark brown patina, warming to golden highlights on raised edges and folds of clothing. The integral cast bronze bench, with its decorative scroll armrests, anchors the composition and completes the scene without requiring a separate plinth.

At this scale and weight, the two-figure bronze composition is suited to grand interior spaces as readily as it is to outdoor settings. Think civic plazas, hotel lobbies, gallery atria, landscaped gardens, or the forecourt of a private residence. Its dark patina reads well against pale stone, aged brick, and manicured greenery alike. Rated for full outdoor exposure; cast bronze weathers with natural dignity and requires only occasional waxing to maintain its surface.

Handmade to Order, Fully Customisable

Patina options include classic dark brown, verde green, natural warm bronze, and black. The composition can be scaled up or down to suit a specific architectural context, or commissioned as a single-figure variant. We also accept fully bespoke portrait commissions inspired by the work of artists working in the realist figurative tradition.
